This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by The City of Thorold (“The City of Thorold”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for 2025-RFT-COT-05 Old Thorold Fire Station #1 Abatement, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The City of Thorold is seeking a qualified contractor to perform asbestos abatement services. The work involves safe removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials previously identified through environmental assessments of the site. All abatement work shall be carried out in compliance with Ontario Regulation 278/05. The scope includes the removal of friable asbestos and non-friable ACMs. The contractor is responsible for establishing proper containment, implementing dust control measures, and coordinating third-party air monitoring and clearance testing. All asbestos waste must be packaged, transported, and disposed of in accordance with provincial waste management regulations. Upon completion of the work, the contractor shall provide a final report detailing the abatement activities, including disposal records, air clearance results, and supporting documentation.
