This Request for Proposal (the “RFP”) is an invitation by The City of Thorold’s to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Hayes Watermain Upgrade West of Allanburg Road, as further described in Section A of the RFP Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”). The city is inviting proposals from qualified engineering consultants ("Consultants") to submit a detailed design proposal for the replacement and upgrade of the existing watermain on Hayes Road, east of Allanburg Road, in the City of Thorold. The scope of work includes the design of a new 300 mm diameter watermain, approximately 230 linear metres in length, intended to provide municipal servicing to support:
The Consultant shall also assess the condition, alignment, and remaining service life of the existing 150 mm watermain, and provide recommendations regarding its decommissioning, abandonment in place, or potential reuse. In addition, the Consultant will be responsible for the design and coordination of lateral service transfers from the existing main to the new system, ensuring minimal disruption to existing users and compliance with applicable municipal standards. |
